Birchmount School

Wow! What a week it’s been!

Since Tuesday last week we’ve been to Birchmount in Moncton, Andover Elementary in Perth Andover, Florenceville Middle school in Florenceville, Salisbury Elementary in Salisbury, Hillsborough Elementary in Hillsborough, John Caldwell in Grand Falls and Evergreen Park School in Moncton.

That’s a lot of driving!

We’re so happy it’s spring time. Yesterday we drove from Grand Falls to Moncton. Thank goodness the sun was out, and is up later. Driving long distances is much more fun in the sun.

We’ve had so much fun the past week getting to meet all kinds of new friends. Shadow didn’t realize how many new friends he was going to get to meet. He didn’t realize how big New Brunswick is.

Tomorrow we’re off to Miramichi. We haven’t been that way yet, so it should be an adventure.

Today is exciting for us. It’s the first day of spring, and it’s International Theatre for Children & Young People Day. These are two things that we are big fans of. This afternoon we’re going to enjoy some ice cream while sitting in the sun. 🙂

And… we’re back!

Yesterday, we started out our day with a trip to Boisetown to see Upper Miramichi Elementary. We use Google Maps to help us find our way around New Brunswick, but Google didn’t know where this school was! We ended up going down a scary dirt road! We also drove through a place where there were deer everywhere! EVERYWHERE! We drove by at least 30 deer, having their breakfast in people’s lawns. It was really cool, but kinda scary too. We didn’t want to have a deer run out in front of our truck!

Once we made it to the school, we had so much fun! We missed doing the show, especially Shadow. He really loves his job!

After that, we packed up and went to Stanley Elementary where we got to play there too. So much fun! We were all exhausted at the end of the day, but it was an exhaustion that comes from having a lot of fun!

Every night Kate takes some costumes home and does some repairs on them. Shadow wanted to help today.

Today we went to Birchmount School, in Moncton. We had so much fun! Shadow loves getting to make new friends. We did both our shows for Birchmount, so we got to meet the whole school. And what a great school too! We had some awesome helpers today after the show. We really love having helpers because we love getting to talk to the students and hear what they think. They had some really great questions about what we do, and were a HUGE help too! Thanks so much to them, and to Birchmount for being so awesome!

Tomorrow we’re off to Perth-Andover. None of us know where that is, so it should be another adventure with the TNB Young Company!
